About Mrs. MagnanelliThis is my seventh year teaching 5th grade at Urbana Elementary School. I am always amazed by the wonderful students, parents, staff, and community!
I grew up on top of a mountain in Cascade, MD. The area is so quiet and picturesque, but it can be treacherous during the winter. I currently live in Mount Airy, MD, with my husband, Tim. I am a graduate of Salisbury University. I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, a minor in Biology, and I am certified to teach Middle School Science. I also hold a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction: STEM certification from Hood College. I was named the 2017 Outstanding Graduate Student of the Year in my area. When I am not teaching, much of my time is spent with my family and friends. I enjoy reading, working out, and learning how to cook. I also love playing soccer. I have played the sport since I was five years old and look for every opportunity to get out on the field. For two years, I coached Under-8 recreational soccer in Wicomico County. Science is one of my passions. I am a curious individual who is always asking questions and seeking answers through observations, research, and experimentation. I hope to bring my passion for science into the classroom through discovery-based learning and exploration. |
